Privacy policy
Effective November 6, 2026
The short version
- You don't need an account, and everything here is free to use.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are helpful. It uses cookies but not your name or email.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- You can block analytics at any time. Instructions are below.
Who we are
Gospel-Link (gospel-link.com) is the personal website of Dr. Tinku Thompson. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Gospel-Link. If you have a question about your privacy, please write to us through the contact page.
Information you give us
The contact form does not send anything through this website. When you press the button, it opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send there. We receive what you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message, and use it only to reply to you. We don't add you to any mailing list unless you ask.
The newsletter is hosted by Substack. When you subscribe there, Substack's privacy policy applies to your email address.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, which messages and studies are read most, and whether visitors arrive on a phone or a computer. This helps us decide what to share next.
What it collects
- Pages you view and how long you stay
- The website or link that brought you here
- Device type, browser, operating system and screen size
- Approximate location (country and city), estimated from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store or log IP addresses.
It does not collect your name, email address or anything you type into forms.
How we've set it up
- Google Signals and advertising features are turned off, so this data is not linked to your Google account or used for ads.
- Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Only reports of overall trends are used. We don't try to identify individual visitors.
Google processes this data on our behalf. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Cookies set by Google Analytics
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells one visit apart from another, without identifying you | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
How to opt out
- Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Use a browser or extension that blocks trackers. The site works the same either way.
Fonts, images, videos and audio
The site's fonts and its main images are stored on this site itself. A few things load from other services, and only in these cases:
- Videos. Video cards show a picture stored on this site. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Videos then play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which YouTube says does not store information about you unless you play the video.
- Audio. Messages and podcast episodes stream from where they are stored (Google Drive, Microsoft Azure, or the podcast host Spotify for Creators) only when you press play or download.
- Images in blog posts. Blog posts and archive posts show photos where they were first uploaded, mostly on Blogger (a Google service), so your browser requests those images from Blogger or the site that holds them when you open a post.
Links to other services
Many pages link to other sites where our messages, writing and books are hosted, including YouTube, Facebook, X, Substack, Blogger, Amazon, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora. When you follow a link or play media there, that service's own privacy policy applies.
Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, let us know and we will delete the message.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom and California, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. Since we don't connect analytics data to names, the main information we may hold is a message you sent us. To make a request, use the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
